guys i kind of agree with that definition sorry :(

Seems like someone meshed the actual theories of racism with white supremacy/privilege together to form something that is fairly essentialist and retarded and that defeats the purpose altogether.

White supremacy and privilege do exist in certain country but that doesn't make every white person a racist. Actually, I take that back, racism, sexism and white supremacy on an institutional and cultural level are pretty obvious in the U.S., no matter what the race.

Racism is more of power relations than actual hatred of specific races based on physical features. In the past when African Americans were denied rights and were considered scientifically inferior to whites, it was probably rare to find an African American who could be considered racist. Now that minorities are becoming more socially mobile than they ever have been (still not the level of whites, and they most likely never will be, atleast not in our lifetime), cases of African American and Asian people displaying blatant racism or stereotypical biases towards less socially mobile minority groups, such as Hispanic/Latino ethnic groups, are starting to show up.

I am talking more power relation racism in the U.S. currently. Basically, poor immigrant Latinos are now the main target of all races, even ones that are still systemically oppressed, as the inferior ethnic group.

Except telling Asians that they are the model minority and that they should be good at math has been proven to do the exact opposite.

Dude, we're just having a conversation, no drama.

Racism in this country should not boiled down to a few incidents, such as pointing the finger at the KKK, or Kramer when he flips out on an audience member. It is institutional, which is why it keeps repeating itself in those individual cases. Even if you don't go around calling people names or wishing a certain race would be sent to the bottom of the ocean in a tank, everyone is raised to view and judge people as somehow separate by their skin color and physical features, and we naturally generalize because of it. Of course, we ingeniously tell our kids that people are inherently different and then turn around and say BUT WE'RE ALL THE SAME HOLD HANDS LALALA, which is an obvious simple paradox even in the mind of a child.
