Well, with the impending purchase of an Xbox 360, I'd like to buy a new TV so I can appreciate the games I'll be playing. I want to future proof also, which means a TV that can display 1080p.
LCD or Plasma? What brands are good? Budget is an issue; the cheaper the better, but preferably something that is simaltaneously cheap and good (doesn't exist right?).
Help me out SB I don't know where else to ask.

Preliminary selection is this. Critique please.
I'm an impatient person, but I think this is something I should spend time on. This TV does look good however.

40 inch is just right for me. Smaller is good, bigger is not preferred. I take it that a TVs size is measured diagnolly, across the face of the TV? Budget...well, ideally I'd like to spend about roughly US2000 but I know this is a pipe dream, especially as TVs are more expensive here than in the US.
