I got an off shelf pc, anyone know how to put my old hard disk in so I can get all my old data back. It's full of good things I don't want to lose, but my prior attempt had no luck.

Yeah, I was wondering if HP had some sort of lockout thing since I've heard of being unable to instal XP on their machines and I couldn't get the machine to startup with my old drive installed.

get one of these, set your jumper setting to slave (or CS: cable select) and your good to go

for that price you may as well spend $5-$10 more and get a metal gear box II.
A little robot who will instruct me on how to eat Neo Kobe Piuzza can be had for 30USD? I am so there.
