| While we're on the subject, the new update is pretty damn fantastic. I can now watch my ARRRRed videos of The Wire on the big screen. Don't think it will ever match up to XBMC (too many .avi videos have unsupported codecs still) but wow. |
I downloaded a bunch of .avi hentai videos a while back, and now all of them play on my 360. It's awesome!
BTW, what (FREE!) third party programs allow you to format higher capacity drives as FAT32? I've been curious because if I ever do upgrade my PS2's HDD, I'm going to need such a program. |

It's funny that WinXP can't format drives bigger than 32 GB as FAT32, while Win98 and even WinME can. Hah.
So yeah, you could use an fdisk from one of those OSs. Or get Puppy Linux (Live CD) and use its GParted (I think that was the name) utility to format. It's really easy. |
Can I use the WinME Emergency Startup Disk I was strongly encouraged to create every time I reinstalled it before I reformatted to NTFS and went with a clean XP install rather than a ME to XP upgrade? If I can do it without installing the OS, that would be sexcellent. I just don't know how I would get a laptop HDD to be seen by the disk. |

I think the WinME rescue disk is likely to work yes, though I've never used it personally.
I know for a fact though that, as Benoit says, virtually any Linux live-CD would do the trick and you wouldn't need to install anything. |
I've never used Linux at all. I was going to install Linux on my PS3 for the hell of it, though. |
