| Hmm, aye, I'm not sure what they're getting at with the crunchy BGM. Still, the core's rather fun. |

Why? If the aesthetic does not appeal to you and you prefer the gameplay of the Kururin games so much that the similarities of this game are unbearable in a way that causes you to immediately seek out a Kururin title as a superior entertainment experience......why not just go play them?
also note, not as an apology or excuse or defense of this game, but as a note: the music is right there in open files with the directory, you can replace it with any ogg you like with the file renamed. hell, it works with mp3s as well. _________________

I like it, and think it fits the abstract pseudoretro vibe pretty well, but then again I like Merzbow. I can't blame someone for not liking it. Though you can complain about it without breaking the page.
The game's great though. You get a small yet nuanced and satisfying moveset which you use to navigate through very difficult stages at high speed, and it's broken into tiny segments with infinite respawn. Result: all challenge and no downtime, like an action game should be and so few are these days. |

Goddamn Venus though. After a while the harder levels become pretty tiresome. Still, addictive! _________________ o-/< --- o-\< --- o-|-| --- o^-< |

that's pretty enjoyable overall. short and to the point and with an atmosphere that allows for a large amount of imagination.
and yea, echoing the sentiment on the credits and the Bit Generations. a GB port of this couldn't hurt at all. |

well that was a pretty great game.
i liked the music a lot, i don't think it would have been as fun without it. i can't decide of the "plot" was brilliant or just kind of cheesy. some of the in game text is pretty amazing, but sometimes i felt like without the addition of exclamation points it would have looked 100 percent pretentious, instead of just goofy pulp sci fi nonsense
We spent hundreds of years looking for a typo, until we realized that we we didn't have to use the grammar of the system!!!!
or... whatever it actually says.
this game gets an A- |

This game is not pretentious at all, it just grabs an aesthetic and runs with it. It's fantastically to the point and precise. Best thing I've played in quite a while now. And yes, it should totally be on the GBA! _________________ The Ants Parade. |

i know, i was talking mainly about the plot as established by the weird text in between levels. it is a few hairs away from being irritating, but that makes me like it a whole lot more. i think if it had been handled any other way it would have become distracting, but as it is i think it actually adds a lot to the atmosphere of the game.
i just wish it was longer!! |

Dotstream isn't that hard. Easier than say Gran Turismo, anyway. Yeah, not only did I win, I got the top ranking on every individual race and also maxxed the multiplier in formation mode.
Dotstream is mostly about knowing each track. Know what's coming ahead so you catch all the boosters and avoid all the obstacles long before you get to them, while turning as little as possible. In some tracks you should exploit the backwind of the CPU players when the race begins, in others they move around too much so it's better to use your afterburners right away so that they don't bother you for the rest of the race. Once you've figured out all this stuff, you should always win handily, and the only way to improve your time further is small positioning improvements to minimize the number of units of vertical movement. |

Yeah but there's more. Some walls you can't ever touch, and generally if you touch something then you die. If you touch yellow walls while holding down, then you'll roll around and bounce off yellow walls while passing through green ones. Things shoot at you, death crosses spin, there are timed doors, and other moving wall type stuff. I haven't beaten the game yet because I'm stuck on this one level but damn it is fun. _________________
