I havent had a headboard since I lived at home or in dorms, which never really struck me as odd until now. I guess I see a whole bed frame with a headboard and a footborad as an unessential piece of furniture. My bed is against a wall, and maybe once a month, I have to push it a little closer to the wall because it worked its way away from the wall. I guess I dont really see the need to spend a lot of money on something I wouldnt appreciate.
And its interesting what you said about staying on one side of the bed Greng, when I am sleeping in the bed when my wife is not there(which happens a lot since I work a wonky schedule), I only sleep on my side of the bed, it just feels right. |

I am so with you on this one, it makes me anxious when egress is only possible from one side of the bed. It can only be slightly alleviated by not having a head or footboard, so as you can exit from 3 sides of the bed and not just one. Even so, I hate it even more because when we did have our bed against the wall, my wife declared her side the one that was open for just this reason, so that was really not cool for me until we moved the bed again. |
