Just stop your suffering and use iTunes for go sake.
Can't imagine wanting to listen to my music in anything else ever again, the interface, organising my mp3s sensibly for me (artist/album/trackname.mp3), music sharing is fucking genius at work or with flatmates.
even more awesome when you mix in Quicksilver and Growl

you can do this on the Mac version, because of Applescript/scripting bridge etc
