This record is amazing. |
Music from Big Pink is totally like the greatest album of all time ever and whatnot. I haven't got the basement tapes so I've only heard the songs that were added on to the end of different album reprints as bonus tracks but Bessie Smith is a personal favourite. |

Was listening to the Ted Nugent album Spirit of the Wild today when I noticed there are a bunch of lyrics in the song Lovejacker taken from Baby Don't Do it by Marvin Gaye. Only I can't find the lyrics online to check because every lyrics site seems to have a message saying the lyrics haven't been released by the artist or the lyrics have been removed at the artist's request.
Strange. |

| Went to see Sinnerman, a Rory Gallagher tribute band. Was almost as good as seeing the man himself. So now I'm listening to a whole load of Rory Gallagher. |

| So apparently Marty Friedman, guitarist of Megadeth, is a pop sensation in Japan. I did not know this. |
Listen to his re-make/cover of Tornado of Souls to see how far he's fallen.
Just got a couple of Khanate albums.

I think it was recorded a few years ago but is only getting released now.
Edit: Any recommendations of some drone albums that are must haves? So far all I have is Altar, Khanate (self-titled) and Things Viral. _________________

Nothing confuses me more than metal genres.
Drone western sounds like something I could really listen to though. There's a small part of Her Lips Were Wet With Venom off Altar that I'd always get excited about when I knew it was getting nearer that I'd describe in the same way.
Needless to say I'll be getting all the stuff that's been mentioned here. _________________
