This game just ended up reminding me of when the Broncos beat the Packers.

Before that game, I could not believe how the entire media thought the Packers were so much better than the Broncos. I knew the Broncos would win. Even if they didn't, I didn't see how the Packers were so superior in any fashion.

From that game on, I've always found it very easy to see how underdogs can win in the NFL. Nothing strikes me as a massive upset. Nothing really surprises me. If you can do one thing well--and if you're in the playoffs, you likely can--you can win against anyone. The Giants had a dominant defensive line. It won them the Super Bowl.

Eli is still something of a head scratcher as far as I'm concerned. I think he can go either way. He's not particularly accurate or mobile. He makes questionable decisions. On the other hand, he's incredibly clutch and it seems to me all the sentiment in the last few years of maybe the team not being behind him boiled down to Tiki Barber not being behind him. This year, Eli had this team. I think next year is when we find out what kind of QB he really is. For what it's worth, his performance today reminded me a lot of Brady's in '01. That's worked out fairly well for Tom. Giants fans, meanwhile, have to feel pretty damn happy that they managed to win a Super Bowl with the question of Eli's mastery of the position still up in the air.

This is not true in the slightest.

I mean, maybe you meant to type "Peyton Manning" instead of "Tom Brady" there.

Tom Brady didn't choke today, and even if he had, he has a large body of evidence that would suggest it an aberration.

Does it make me a bad person that I kinda wanted the Pats to win? I've simply been enamored with Brady for the last six years. As something of a football connoisseur this team has always been worth looking at.
