Actually me and some people are waging bets on our Lent deprivations. I myself will actualy swear off alcohol. That may or may not include going out to bars and such; I am hesitant to waste their time by ordering juice and cola, so unless friends drag me out to play pool or something, I'm gonna be a big homebody. On the plus side I won't have any alcohol in my system and I'll save tons of money.

I didn't even start drinking until I was 24-25, so 40 days of sobriety won't hurt me.

This is all starting Friday at 12:01AM. Gives me time to go out tonight, and finish the last beer in the fridge.

This is what I'm doing, as well, except I started Ash Wednesday. That was a clever clause you created!


Clever or not, here it goes:

I went out for some final drinks with a friend, and I didn't make it back in time to drink that last beer in the fridge. So there it sits, until I pour it out or somebody comes over.

That is in fact my kitchen sink. Or one of them, it's actually a double-sink number, with one being close to 2' deep. My little nephew could take a bath in it.
