I'm not Catholic either, but I'm doing a solidarity Lent with a (also non-Catholic) friend who's giving up masturbation. Gotta keep each other honest and all that.

Things have been going pretty well so far, but it's way too soon to tell.

Honestly I can only see good things coming from this.

I was unclear (or e-sarcasm detector is off), he decided to give up masturbation. I said "Good plan, I'll join you (in not masturbating), knowing full well you'll probably give up (and start again) in a week or two and then I'll forget about it too (and start again)."

Just to be clear.

It's a very half-assed "me-too" lent. More of a social experiment than character-building really.
