Just got BB LE through the mail (hurray, region free!), and so far... liking it. Slowly working through Arcade mode to unlock Astral Heats.
Holy crap, what's up with Noel? At best plays like Angel, at worse this game's Eddy Gordo. Yaps a lot during those comboes =/. Going to watch the Bluray while making my mind up about dinner. |

Hmm, late replies (Damn Story Mode!)
Not that it matters but...
.
Quick and dirty upscale of that previous image since someone seems to confuse aesthetics and taste with technology. I for one never cared for HDR but I can at least admit that it looks slick.
But anyway:

Yeah! Kinda liking it. Now excuse me, it's time to get back into Story Mode... |

Hmm, that's the last time I'm posting while half asleep!

| Story mode is pretty cool! I think they did a great job of realizing the world and setting than Guilty Gear ever did. |
Comes with the territory of a new franchise, I guess. But I do get flashbacks to Melty Blood when playing it (same, slightly obtuse, way of progressing into the story, dependent on how you perform in the fight, etc).
What I find annoying (besides the UNLOCK MOVES!) in the Story mode though is that every loss, win, distortion finish is a few ticks on the completion meter. A nice way to lengthen the replay value, but the "save, lose, reload, win" cycle gets tiring after a while. |

Too much stuff to unlock.
Voice acting is stiff.
Chaos is an absolute bitch. |

The cast in Dissidia is (bar a few minor quibbles) fine. Big enough to satisfy the majority of fans, but small enough to allow a good heroes to villains ratio. Of course, bringing in other franchises from the Square Enix Universe would've been interesting (not to mention a cleansing of fanboys as they collectively blow a fuse), but my head starts to hurt at the thought of leveling 20+ characters, let alone 40+.

Have you unlocked the Chaos / Cosmos rule sets? It's not much, but it does help against a constantly retreating opponent.

| There's not too much to be said about the stages; they all seem pretty well-balanced except for the Chaos stage. Chaos' stage seems prohibitively claustrophobic, which leads to disaster for characters like Ultimecia who are very hard pressed to defend themselves in close quarters. It seems downright perplexing that they don't allow at least Chaos' throne to serve as a lone refuge for line-of-sight. |
The camera tends to go crazy in corners, and there's not really a good way to fly past ledges (I'm looking at you, FF6 / 8 stages), besides the horribly inelegant dodge / jump system. Still, I can't complain too much when I trap someone in a corner with Tornado.
And, for the love of God, when porting games to the West, please put in a Infrastructure mode in it... |

Oh man, so much to hate about Tekken 6.
- The online mode is, quite possibly, worse than SF4. Even at a yellow icon, input doesn't come out in time. I'm hoping this is just a launch day issue, but it still leaves a bad flavour in my mouth.
- Having to go through the lack lustre Campaign mode to unlock characters for the arena, to unlock their cinematics is just terrible. With a smaller roster it wouldn't be that bad, but given that there are over 40 characters...
- Azazel. Jesus.

A real shame, because there's so much to like about it. |

| 100 matches isn't a lot :( though i notice you get 1-2000g for winning a versus game on the console... on the arcade cabinet here you get 20,000 |
to put it in perspective: you get 100,000-400,000 gold even on the earliest stages of campaign
if you abuse the mokujin stage, and you will, you can get 2,000,000 gold per run
you get between 1,000 and 5,000 gold for playing an actual match of tekken in the home versions
also, while playing scenario campaign, you'll randomly collect items which can be equipped on your character, and will (in that mode) give you stupid rpg status boosts. these items can also be equipped in the other modes, though. |
This. A full run of the scenario mode gave me just over 4M. And speaking of stupid: items you buy in the store, which are pretty much the same as the ones dropped in Campaign mode, don't give bonuses. Feeling that your usual character doesn't cut it on the Nightmare Train and want to try another one? Have fun going through it all over again.

| I hate to say it, but don't buy T6 unless you're willing to take a gamble. |
A more benevolent suggestion would be "If you've got a steady core of friends who liked Tekken in the past and are into it, go for it. Want a steeper entry curve but actually playable online? Go for Blazblue or wait until SSF4T". |

Probably.
At the same time Fei Long's third is based on Kato from The Green Hornet so Capcom gets brownie points for that. |
Here's hoping Capcom's promise of "an extra bonus for owners of SF4" doesn't amount to that exclusively. It probably will though? |

Mental note: Routing Japan to US to EU isn't something that PSN seems to be able to handle :(
PSN: Syshiro
Also, what the hell, Dan's normal taunt hits! (For absolutely 0 health, but still). |
