I figured I'd put this up here before I go to craigslist:

Anyone looking to move to San Jose? 'Cause I've got a room to rent you. Provided you can afford the rent and you're not a mental case, you can come live at my place. It is NOT cheap, be warned: ~$600 per person per month. It's in an excellent location, though. Right in Japantown, easy access to the lightrail, plenty of food/shopping/whatever nearby.

Folks here have met me before and can confirm that I both exist and am a relatively laid back guy. I'm easy to live with, noise is never a problem, I'm fairly neat outside of my own room, and I pay the bills on time (note that I expect the same from you!) Wireless internet is provided gratis to roommates, rooms have their own bathrooms, and it's generally a swell place to live. Full kitchen, nice big common area, large bedrooms, high ceilings.

So, if you're near the bay area and need a place to live OR have been looking to do that big cross-country move, here's a place to land.

On that note: If anyone wants to move out here, I can also attempt to get you hired at Namco with me. I've got one buddy planning on doing this already, and he's coming in from Rhode Island to take a crack at it. It's a good opportunity so I figured I'd toss it up here as well if folks be interested, yo.

Basically, Namco's hiring "a bunch" of people over the next couple months for QA testing on some big project (which we assume is going to be Soul Calibur IV, but they haven't told us and probably won't until it arrives in the office). As such, if you're looking to get hired at Namco, now'd be a good time to go about it. I can set you up with an interview with the temp agency that hires out the testers to Namco, that much I'm sure of. From there it'd be up to you so no promises. But! It's a foot in the door.

So. Good place to live and the possibility of an excellent job. I need a roommate (possibly two) if I want to stay here. You want a job in the game industry and a chill roommate in a good location. LET US MAKE CONNENCTION!

It's $612.50 per month per person, not including any bills, assuming we wind up with 4 people total including myself and my girlfriend. I've got one guy interested in a room here IF he can get hired, so that's one more bedroom spot I need filled.

But yeah, the actual rent is $2450 per month. Not cheap.
