I don't want to become the porn king of SB (those who are friends with me on myspace already know about some of my uh friends on there), but DVD sales are unbelievably huge for porn still. People don't have to leave their rooms to get porn dvds- they order them online. I agree that digital distribution would make more sense, but there's almost a fetishistic collecting of the DVDs. I mean, a lot of netporn sites sell DVDs, and these DVDs sell well even though they offer no added extras or enhanced resolution or anything.
Thing is, there's a pretty big psychological difference between people who purchase porn and people who steal it/manage on free samples. |
