This is out now, apparently! I haven't had a chance to play it but let's not let that stop us from talking about it.
I've only seen one review for the game so far, from GameTrailers, and they said it was alright but lacking. They said it was too hard in spots, and that it was basically your typical action/adventure game only with higher difficulty and prettier graphics. They said some other stuff about it but I can't remember the rest of it. Oh, they also said the story wasn't so bad it was good, and neither good enough, which sounds typical for a videogame I guess.
The one boss fight I've seen footage of looked pretty awesome. A giant worm like creature climbing out of the ground. You shoot it enough and it dies, I guess. There's also the grappling hook your character has at all times, and I'm sure that'll be plenty fun to play around with.
So yeah, it'll probably be a week or so before I get a chance to play this. A month or so ago I bought a preorder for the game from walmart for five dollars. I thought I was just buying a demo disc but instead found out later that I had bought the preorder and the "limited edition art cell" that came with it. I'm looking at that cell now, still in it's plastic sleeve. It's pretty neat, I guess, a tight shot of a character turning around to blast a bad guy. Makes me want to play the game. So I figure since I've already technically dropped five dollars on the game I'll just spend the rest on it when my local walmart finally gets it in stock (probably around next thursday) because the instructions on the preorder/reserve box (that I thought was a demo, damn I feel stupid now) say to just bring the box in and pay for the rest of the game then.
Someone who has played this, tell me: Worth playing and potentially spending $55 on? Yes/No/Perhaps? _________________

| Capcom is gettting my full trust with this one because, Dead Rising. |
Yeah, totally. That's my angle as well when it comes to this game.

Hm, I don't know. The GameTrailers review mentioned the singleplayer portion lasting about ten hours. Though it's got multiple difficulty settings and apparently is quite hard on the easiest of them. I'm thinking if anything it might be like Gears of War and be a blast the second and third times through as well. _________________

Ok, so am I missing something here, or does the review simply consist of a quote and a short paragraph that says the controls are clunky? |
Click on the quoted text. _________________
