So did anyone play MGS portable ops? Is it really that necessary to play through? I think it chronicles the events following MGS3 and Big Boss' departure from the FOX unit and the founding of FOXHOUND, or something like that. I suppose it sounds relatively interesting

Though it would appear most people couldn't care less about it

I'm playing mgs: portable ops at the moment. Well, I kind of am, when I have enough time. I've technically made no progress so far because I've been caught about three times in the prologue-esque part of the game (After breaking out of jail and talking to Roy Campbell).

It's really, really hard. Mainly because of the controls.

skelethulu I am currently in the process of getting the custom firmware on my psp, and mgs will be the first game I play! Oh, and mgs: portable ops isn't too bad at all. I'm actually having a lot of fun with it.

I have been listening to some interviews with the voice-actors, lately! This podcast with david hayter was pretty interesting (the distracting music at the start goes away eventually! Also, listen as his voice slowly becomes more snake-like throughout the second video). This sort of thing might be old news, though, but I'm really excited by it. After playing so much mgs and attaching hayter's voice to the video-game persona of snake only, well, I guess it's just kind of surreal for me. Can anyone direct me in the way of more of this kind of stuff? Hayter seems to be the only voice-actor from the game who is truly involved in his character, let alone the actual game.

Also, I suppose this is sort of cool:

So guys, a question if I may; what do you actually think mgs4 will be like? It might seem like a bit of a berated question, but it's only like a week away now, and I don't remember the last time I have genuinely been looking forward to a new release this much.

Will it live up to the expectations?
