I just found out I'm going to have my (four impacted) wisdom teeth out on June 12th. Life-wrecking scheduling conflict / codeine-enhanced blogging opportunity.

Everyone goes on about the last fifteen minutes, but the half hour before that, where every major character gets killed off in succession, including Campbell, Otacon, Meryl, Raiden, and Naomi, it's true craftsmanship. The fact that only Snake survives makes it cooler, since he's the only one who wanted to die in the first place. Anyway, the last boss fight where the soul of Liquid possesses 100 Metal Gear COWs, whose legs are all based on Liquid's DNA, that was intense (not to mention impressive that the PS3 could pull that off). So was the one immediately before that where you have to trade your CQC knife for a cross stake to finally kill Vamp. The Sixaxis Metal Gear piloting could've used some work, but oh well.

I mean, I guess you could level other complaints against it, such as the part in the black hawk helicopter, where your total amount of fuel is based on how much hard drive space you have free (which probably sucks for you 40-giggers); or that fight against Zombie Big Boss, who won't attack you if you have an MGS3 save on your hard drive (what about those with no back-compat?); or the rebel uprising, where you get an extra guy for everyone online your PSN friends list (all my friends play on Xbox!). Still a great game, though. I still haven't found five of Saddam's Hidden WMD's scattered throughout the middle east level. I'll probably do some more searching with the remote control robot later tonight (can't wait to unlock the Hussein beard).
