Do you like anime?
Apparently, PSN will exclusively have Bonen no Xamdou, an anime from BONES (RahXephon, Fullmetal Alchemist, Eureka Seven, Wolf's Rain, etc.). I haven't really kept up on it, so I don't know a whole lot about it. Sounding the TOLL alarm, it is apparently a mech-anime, and a trailer is up on PSN right now. Someone tell me how it is; I can't get it right now.

I haven't been able to find a feed for the Capcom conference, but joystiq is doing some liveblogging. All they're doing right now is talking about the Lost Planet movie, though.
Edit: Whoa, that Tecmo Bowl video feels a lot like the NES one. I'm impressed. I just wonder if people will actually be interested in it, aside from people who played the original. |

Capcom confrence had no games, just talking about the Lost Planet game to movie adaptation. Hayter on script and Avi Arad producing do sound reasonable though.

Not to speak for Tim, but this is what I drew from his posting & my own experience with the game … MGS4 is a not-entirely-bad game by a not-unintelligent dude; there are a few sequences in Act 5 that are wonderful. That doesn't, however, make up for the rest of the game having a total fansturbation narrative with weaker mechanics and level/boss design than prior games in the series. And if that's being held up as a benchmark for the generation, well, it's hard not to rant.

This nailed it. The PS3 section could have been a bit more brown, since that seems to be the prevalent colour in the PS3 line up this E3.
Activisions confrence was pretty underwhelimg. Raven's new project sounds interesting but it was mostly uninspired and Quantum of Solace looks like its gonna be EA Bond yet again, COD4 engine or Not.
GH World Tour seems a reasonable upgrade gameplay wise and has some interesting features like arpeggiated chords. Plus, motherfucking Hot For Teacher. But my god it looks ugly as sin and Neversoft's track record of running great games into the ground with lots of gimmicks and product placement makes me kinda wary.
The interesting news is that at least on the 360. Rock Band Peripherals will work on it and possibly the World Tour Peripherals will work on RB2 if Harmonix can code em in. Why the sudden change of heart. I dunno, probably MS stepping in though (The RB Strat works on GH Aerosmith on the 360 by the way).

I like the overlayed lines that pop up to tell you the route of the oncoming wave. It's not the same kind of classic refinement that made Pacman CE so wonderful, but it sure does look like a fun videogame to play. |

Miyamoto has hinted at a new Pikmin for ages, so its no real surprise at this stage. I guess they are waiting for TGS for to publicly show of Captain Rainbow and anything else they have come up with.
Wii Sports Resort is a license to print more money anyway. That's all they needed to announce to make the share holders happy.
