I'd venture a guess that the game is primarily about physical and visual comedy, rather than conversational or verbal comedy, so I don't imagine that translation differences are going to matter much. Either way, I doubt that they ejected anything.
I'd say that the game would be well worth the $30.00, because something tells me that it's going to come out on a somewhat limited run, this being (in theory anyway) then end of the PS2 generation. So, even if you don't like it, the game might end up being fairly rare. Or maybe not. I'm guessing so though, since they've further strangled the game's potential market by making in an EB/Gamestop exclusive.
Then again, I'm not entirely sure what prompted that motion for exclusivity. Maybe other companies just refused to sell it. That is, of course, only speculation. It could just as easily be business wranglings. Either way, I'd certainly be interested to know the reasons behind this exclusive distribution deal.
Another theory is that maybe EB/Gamestop is the only company willing to take a chance on anymore PS2 games, but given (what I percieve to be) the poor performance of the PS3, I can't help but second-guess this theory.
edit: Whatever the case, I preordered it (again, I'm sad to say), so hopefully come February I'll be playing it. _________________ Taking a break. |
