i will keep a copy just in case they get a C&D from harmonix |
You know, I tried playing keyboard mania once when I was in LA. The fucked up thing is that the notes you play on the keyboard do NOT correspond 1:1 to the melody -- meaning pressing a "C" may actually produce an "A" -- which makes the game really hard if, you know, you actually play piano.
This game looks neat though. _________________

Huh, interesting.
The intervalic ratios are right though Toups. They have to use transpositions of the lines because of how small the keyboard is.
I almost bought a Keyboardmania arcade once. I have the game at home and I love playing it |
no, no. Believe me, the intervals were NOT right.
Maybe it was just because I was playing on easy but yeah. It was very plain to see that the right note was not coming out of the keyboard. I had a fellow pianist watching me (hi kinuko!) and she agreed! _________________

yeah, and guitar freaks is messed up, too.
like, on my real telecaster, the big red button actually produces a Q chord. |
Well if the keyboard mania controller was just a series of colored buttons that only vaguely resembled a keyboard (like, say, iidx or pop 'n' music) then I wouldn't complain! _________________

| Toups: the easier difficulties in Keyboardmania do that, yeah, but the harder ones (REAL mode, for example) are note-for-note accurate to a real keyboard. |
I should've just played on hard then. _________________
