If words bother you...you can never truly "get it". And that test is the only sure fire way of proving it. It's hard too, harder than just having someone else insult you, it's easier to have someone attack you than to try and attack yourself. That's why it's such a great test. You might be able to ignore and pass off the insults and attacks of others...to a point, but to ~truly~ "get it", you have to go all the way, you have to be able to attack yourself.

Oh I've no doubt at all that a great many of the regs here are not frothing tweenagers and idiots. If you were you would have made like the PoE kids by now and since you haven't you're obviously quite well educated, that was never in question. But like I said, you don't ~truly~ "get it". You get it more than most for sure, as I said, you can likely handle getting verbally attacked quite well...to a point. But until you reach a level in which words ~truly~ do not bother you...you cannot completely "get it".

Well in a way it is, part of the reason I post around into new groups is to garner moar attention to my sites and what not. I can hardly deny that fact, nor can I deny the fact that I make money off ad banners on many of my sites. But again, it's entirely up to you how you want to play. In one sense the best advice I can give you is...deserve better.
There are *SO* many interesting ways you could play...but most often people like yourself choose the same old, boring, tired, worn out plays. Usually either attackful in nature or overly analytical...try being creative! Show me something new and I'll show *YOU* something new. It's a perfectly reasonable offer.

It has reached a point where I have to make sure I don't get a surprise attack battle otherwise it just kills them instantly (and I don't think that counts). |

dude, Ness has to be between level 51 and 79 otherwise the sword won't drop. you missed your chance. instant kills count, though, like you can get mad cookies from crows in the beginning of the game that way. |

I wasn't talking about that part. After looking on YouTube it has suddenly occurred to me that I might be in the wrong section. I'm killing Star Man Supers right outside the second to last chamber where the main baddie is at, where as in the You Tube videos they seem to be at an earlier point in the place. I thought it was ~any~ Star Man Supers, but maybe not. Either that or it's just easier to kill them there...my guys are so strong though that even the Atomic Power Robots are worthlessly easy, so I didn't bother looking for an "easier" spot. *shrugs*
What's so terrible about save state hacking? Is the world going to end or something? |

Wow, I got all sorts of cool stuff...original Star Tropics (including intact, never before water dipped manual/letter)...all the Mega Man games...the gold Zeldas...Mario games...Battle of Olympus...Crystalis....Dragon Warrior series...Final Fantasy I and II...Secret of Mana...Willow...Kid Icarus...Maniac Mansion...Castlevania series...Metroid...Super Metroid...well, anyway, lots of others. Maybe someday they'll be worth something. *snicker*
I've actually been considering selling off my entire Nintendo Power magazine collection. Unfortunately ~one~ of my early issues is missing the front cover cause this stupid cat I had when I was a kid threw up on the damn thing...I could have fucking killed that sum'bitch. All the others are in uber pristine quality and sealed in plastic. I stopped collecting though after issue 159 so it's not a completely complete set.

Speaking of old games I should play around with doing some NES to GBA conversions. I did Battle of Olympus and that worked real well. I wonder if I can convert SNES games too...hrmmm...I wish the lil bastard of a flash memory drive had come with more documentation...hell it didn't even come with a program to access the damn thing, I had to find that on the net. I should probably just buy a new one, I bet there's better ones now. |

Man I dunno, I don't think I'd trade my memories of playing games as a kid for anything. Playing them today is still fun, but it's different. You tend to be much more conscious of things when you get older, it loses that kind of magic it had. And of course, having access to bunches of games without having to put much money and effort into getting them can color your perception of a game, we have a frontpage thread going related to that right now. |

Although buying crappy games like the before mentioned did teach me the important lesson of RENTING games first to see if I would actually like them. Renting RPGs was always so frustrating though, only three days to play and you had to keep re-renting otherwise you could pretty much kiss yer saved game goodbye. Memory cards were like a God send when they first came out.

I leveled up too much early in the game so everyone but Poo (I call him Haku) is up to or over level 90, where as he's only at level 76. Those cave men guys at the Stone Henge place are freakin awesome for leveling, especially when you get strong enough to beat them instantly with surprise attacks, which are easy cause they're so damn big and slow and don't run over to join the battle.

Yup, played and beat it just the other day, which is what brought me back to Mother 2. I had played it about six months ago but gave up when I couldn't get the Sword of Kings, so I just did a bunch of save states and figured I would come back to it later, but then never did...until now. My goal in playing this time was/is to get all the rare items and max out my levels, previously whenever I played the game I never invested much interest in maxing my levels or getting all the rare items.
I don't see how you could really relate it to FF, other than its an RPG, the games are totally different on practically ever level. Heh, speaking of which, I remember when I was a kid and playing Final Fantasy II (this was in the days before the Internet as it is today) and I got an item that an enemy dropped (I think it was a red dragon) that was like a "glass helmet" or something, so I got all excited thinking that maybe there were other "glass" weapons and armor and such. I wound up playing for WEEKS killing dozens upon dozens of different moon enemies, finally giving up after like two or three months. Then several years later, when the Internet matured a bit, I found out that it was the only glass item and I was like, "DOH!" |

Well that's 133...not even counting the dozens of instant kills...Ness is now at level 99...I just don't think it's gonna happen. There must be some kind of level limiter, where if you're over a certain level you can't get it, that's the only thing I can think of. I'm just gonna hack it in at this point, I think I put in moar than enough bother already. |

I played drums in high school, although mostly just the bass drum cause I was the mascot and had to wear this giant chicken suit...sorry, cardinal suit.
Band and being the mascot were the only ways I could letter in high school because I worked all the time. I started out babysitting and delivering papers and then by 15 I started working at this greasy, smokey, nasty little roadside cafe washing dishes and then later cleaning the joint at night as well. It was about as unglamorous as you could possibly get, but it was nice always having tons of money at my disposal...although in hindsight I probably should have tried saving more of it than I spent. Although I do wonder if I would have been as popular in high school if I didn't...I was always buying people stuff and sometimes I'd treat one of my classes to a pizza party...just cause. When I ran for ASB treasurer and president I gave out these little goodie bags filled with candy all decorated up neat and proper. And on the Fourth of July...well...heh....let's just say I usually spend at least a thousand bucks a year on fireworks:

In my own personal studies of that community (I've done hundreds of different polls over the years) I've found that less than %5 of the community actually shits in their diapers and the vast majority found it out right disgusting. The vast majority had no problems with wetting their diapers, although presumably with diaper technology as it is today the wetness is sucked in and turned into a gel, so it's not exactly wet-wet and you're not ~exactly~ just festering in urine so to speak...well unless you used cloth diapers I suppose...hmmm...I should look into that aspect.
