Punk Giana has, without question, and I will not regret being unable to take this sentence back, the best jumping animation in all of platforming.
All of the sprites and artwork were done by this guy: http://www.alexanderpierschel.de/
My only regrets are these:
* 50% of the original game's bosses did not return.
* The exit to classic stage 32 is on the right side of the stage and not, as it was in the original game, in the bottomless pit. |

| Well, I just finished Punishment 2, and I found it a bit surprising how easy it got after awhile. |

Spelunky seems to have suddenly gotten awfully easy. Just now, I won a game for the third time in a row.
All three of those games involved the two instruments that, I conclude, make winning a near-certainty: jetpacks, and not stealing from the shop.
I'd try playing more Spelunky games outlaw-style, but really, the fuss of having to deal with the shopkeeper every single level is simply not worth it. |

| How such macho battle quotes as "Juffo-Wup fills me and I grow turgid" failed to enter the zeitgeist is beyond me. |

| I played Strange Adventures in Infinite Space, and am slightly intrigued at how it managed to crush the experience of playing Star Control II down into just 4 minutes, at the cost of reducing it to the facile mesmerism of Bejeweled. |
