| Also, did you know that if you press F5 you can go to the options screen? There are a lot of things worth playing with on there. The game has two different instrument sets for playing the music, and you can also configure a game pad! Playing this game with a PS2 controller is might fine, I tell you what! |
The game recognized my logitech controller without using the configure pad. But I'm going to asign "up" to a button, because playing with jump as a direction it's a little confusing to me. _________________

| When you assign values to the controller, it allows you to assign a button for "second up," i.e. jump. Very handy! |
Just handy? With a proper jump button this game becomes more enjoyable.
I'm still getting used to the game. Well, it's more like I don't find the damn temple. I allways die in the water. D: _________________

The game is great, but I hate the three birds in the entry to La Mulana. I have to deal with them each time I go there.
I haven't got enough time to put into the game, so I'm exploring bit a bit, gathering money and weights. I need enough gold to buy the glyph reader. But hell, it's an expensive gizmo.
Also, the cartridges you get from the corpses are of any use? I have a Mahjong game and a tennis game.
I love how it plays like a castlevania but has the loneliness and ambient of a metroid. (That is, you are alone in the middle of a hostile big place) _________________

Ok, now I have the shell horn, the grail and the glyph reader. Things becomes interesting. Now I must learn how to use the grail and then explore more. And I'll tinker a bit with the MSX menú. I'm sure it has any cool use.
EDIT: I'm so excited with this game. And I don't want to beat it. My main goal is to see as many rooms as I can. They are gorgeus. _________________

This game is draining my life. But hell, it has a minecart stage!
And yes, the "three sacrifices" thing annoys me a lot.
EDIT: The minecart thing is painful! _________________

Postin to say how much I hate the fucking bats. But thanks to that hate I solved by accident a puzzle. The "walk between the angels" one.
La Mulana is truly a test of endurance. _________________

Defeating the guardian of the Guidance Gate gives you something? I've beaten another guardian and got a new item. But after beating the Guidance Gate's boss I don't know what have changed.
Also. Any hint about an easy to pick life jewel? Because I'm still playing with just one.
Making progress in this game make me feel great. It's a good feeling of reward after all the almost (but never) frustrating parts. _________________

The "overhead attack" with the whip is very useful indeed. And not only to kill bats. If there is an enemy in a platform over you, you can jump and attack when your head hit the platform. The first frame of the attack will hurt the enemy above! It's an awesome way to deal with small crawling enemies, like the green snake thing. _________________

I'm spending a lot of time looking for the guardian in the giants mausoleum, but the ankh is nowhere to be found. I'm sure that it's related to the astronomy room, but there is no way to get the three moons.
This archeology thing seemed so easy in the Indiana Jones' movies...
EDIT: Ankh found.
EDIT2: This boss is hard! _________________
