The only shoe that properly fits my foot, all over.
Its like a glove I love it.

(being the first one to like something doesn't make you cool it just makes you a lucky nerd)

I started wearing chucks way back in high school becasue they were cheap and available in most cheap footwear stores. Then I went to college and every-one bought them. The price went up and the quality went down.

Now however Im happy to report that they have reverted back to making them with heavy canvas supports in the heel instead of that dreadful rubber cup bit they had in the freshly popular chucks. The rubber used to break up and Id have to rip it out in order to keep wearing them. I guess now that their some-what out of style again (thank god) they cant get away with hoping people will buy a new pair every month.

Whats your favorite clothing thing?

My peacoat. I actually can't wait for winter to get here because when it does, I will be wearing my peacoat and scarf, and listening to indie rock, and basically looking incredibly fucking hip

EDIT: not a shoe thread...

My all steel watch by guess. It has a loose fit and faintly jingles when I make hand gestures.

I have this leather jacket which is way too nice to go with any of my other clothing. I've been wearing it around the house to get it to look more lived-in. Now if only the weather would turn cold and dry...

Edit: it's like a slim A2 flight jacket with a biker's collar.

air force ones, mostly.

i do like all stars though, i didn't know they ever changed the design? i have a couple pairs from before nike bought converse out and they have the canvas back. the rubber thing does sound stupid.

I picked up some cheap ($30) Airwalks from Payless a couple months ago. I forgot how comfortable skate shoes are.

Otherwise, I love my cheap hooded sweatshirt. SO comfortable.

Depending on my wardrobe, I have a new pair of black All Stars, a pair of brown-checkered hi-top Vans, and some Sperry top-siders for dress clothes.

I wear some white and brown slimish Sketchers (not the big wafflestompers) for casual, but I wear sandals for as long as humanly possible.

I like All Stars because they have a clean design, where most sneakers have swashes all over and stuff. Same reason why I like shoes like these:

My feet straddle the line between 13 and 14, and most places only stock 13s on like half their shoes, it's the upper bound. :(

It's even worse than having giant feet and knowing I have to go to a Big & Tall store; it's like, I go to normal shoestores and there's one pair I like more and one pair I like less and of course only the one I like less comes in 13 and it just so happens that it's slightly too tight

Those shoes are 2x better in person. They have an aura.

Cuba, my feet aren't very long (well, they are proportionate to my height), but they are pretty wide, so shoe shopping can be kind of tough for me sometimes.

Plus side? I have to get wide shoes, and I really love the look of big clunky wide shoes. I hate the way Chuck Taylors look on me because they're so slim. Blech.

Going to get these soon I think!

Love John Fluevog shoes. They're so... clunky!

Would love to get these, but I am not quite at the point where I can spare 160 dollars for shoes. (On my way though!)

Those Fleuvog shoes are objetively cool, but I would look like a total tool in them. Clunky doesn't really work for me in general... my feet are fucking clunky enough.

Those are very sexy. I like the indentation above the ankles -- gives them such a natural looking, skintight form, and how they make the feet look smaller because of the extra thick soles. In these boots you're looking like you're standing on a pedestal, instead of wearing footware. That effect is wholly lost in the black version.

I have a pair of super skinny black jeans that I haven't washed in over a year. And wear almost every day. They're turning grey and falling apart so I had to replace them this weekend and now I'm sad. I hate new/clean jeans.

Going to get a bunch of new stuff while I'm in NY next month. I could use some new clothes.

I like Vans Chukka's not Chucks.

I had some chucks a LONG time ago but they fell apart pretty quickly. Aren't they a subsidiary of Nike now?

They look pretty good though I'm used to a bit more padding, being a skater.

I love Adidas Superstars... but I'm currently wearing a pair of New Balance 574s. I also have a nice pair of Adidas Universals.

My problem with Converse shoes & most canvas types has always been the rubber band thing that goes all the way round the base (shoe/trainer retard here, who doesn't know the names of shoe parts) because they end up cracking/breaking inexplicably.

I love my All-Stars, but they can be really hard to find in stores, especially in size 13.5-14(both work, so I get whichever is in stock), so I usually end up having to order them from converse directly or have a store do that for me. But, the last two times I tried to order them from converse, I never got them, because they were out of stock. I just get the normal black ones, so I guess its an odd size?

But it is good to hear that they have changed the make of the shoe, because maybe its the way I walk or something, but I just tear those things apart. Nearly every pair I have had ends up separating the sole from the canvas at the heel.

My current pair of chucks are black, with writing all over them in different colors, kinda looking like a bathroom wall. They are pretty awesome, and were cheaper to buy than normal black ones, so there I go.

Previous pairs included the ever present classic black, some black with pink accents (seriously, I have never felt like more of a man than rocking some pink shoes. it's like a dare card issued to any fucker who might challenge me), some camouflage one-stars gotten cheaply at Target and a pair of black ones with a double tongue that was purple/light gray. When I was a kid, I had some of the ultra high tops, that you had to fold down, and they were bright orange on the outside, with yellow on the inside, and were dope as shit.

I enjoy wearing jeans, a t-shirt and sometimes a flannel shirt or scarf!
Also guys what about Dunlop Volleys? Do you get them over in not-Australia? They're like All-Stars for people without money or taste! I like them!

Oh shit that's right. I forgot. I mostly wear chucks because they kinda fit my foot, which most shoes don't. I would rock some addidas if I could, but they are always way too narrow for my foot.

Actually, that's another great thing about volleys! They're actually kinda narrow, but they've got so little actual structure to them that they mould to one's foot in like a week!
THE PERFECT SHOE??

I see! Though that really makes sense, considering canvas and all.

we got those Dunlops in the UK eskaibo.. I think they're about £30-40ish.
Another canvassy shoe I've tried is the PF Flyer, which apparently was once owned by Converse - then monopoly laws intervened.

http://www.pfflyers.com/

they look really cool, are quite comfy - but I broke mine after 2 months of everyday usage (just general walking around). Cheaper than Converse.

those are Green Flashes, there is no such thing as a Volley in the UK. The main difference is that the heel of a green flash is reinforced and solid and falls to bits in no time

compare and contrast:

hell I should have bought more than two pairs from target
