Try plugging it into the reader overnight. If the battery isn't defective, that'll charge it. |
Thing is, I can leave it in the micro for six months without losing saves, but as soon as I switch console, poof! _________________

The above makes some good suggestions. I like the look of the E-link
ok, just order an E-Link 1Gigabit (128 mega bytes)
all of which is highspeed NOR memory
Uses a USB link to upload gba roms old school style (no SD card, no slot one device)
I loads INSTANTLY, and auto loads on boot the last game played unless you interrupt it.
It cost me $25 w/free shipping
This will essentially be my Mother3 cart.
Bought it at a place called deal extreme via paypal _________________ Mixtapes galore ~ VG MUSIC

yeah, I might try this. I was really hoping for an expandable one though if I can find a source.
edit: oh, looks like deal extreme has one. I'll get one once I'm settled in my new apartment. |

| I have a Flash2Advance 512MB Ultra cart that I got price gouged on, but Mother 3(non-translated) seemed to work pretty solid on it so I'm happy. |

I have a super card mini SD and cant load Mother 3 due to not-enough-NOR-ram, see page 1. Dont know if the micro is better. Mini is great for home brew though! _________________ Mixtapes galore ~ VG MUSIC

Ditto! I mean, I've imported the original cartridge and played through it, as well as on emulation twice more, but finally having actual in-game English text. God damn. This is going to be amazing. _________________ JSNLV is frequently and intentionally wrong. |

Mother 3, Rhythm Tengoku, and the rest are Bit Generations games, I reckon.
You know, Rhythm Tengoku's coming to the DS worldwide, and the Bit Generations games are neat but they're no Wii Sports Tennis. They're probably not even Wii Sports Boxing! LET'S NOT GET SILLY GUYS. _________________

So Earthbound is really expensive these days, around $70. That's kind of weird. I bought my copy for like 20 bucks. I think it's one of the most expensive SNES game these days. _________________

I have the M3 SD. It's pretty OK. It'll play anything you throw at it, pretty much, except for some DS homebrew stuff, for which slot-1 cards are best.
| hyouko wrote: |

You can do it if you buy a thing that connects to the slot-2, which is usually cheap, and load it with a GBA ROM through the slot-1 card. _________________ The Ants Parade. |

Only one needed localizing, that's the neat thing about region-free systems. |

Loaded the unpatched ROM on my EZFlash V kit last night perfectly, so unless the patch screws things I'm good to go.
Though I'm kinda feeling like I'd rather play this on my Micro for some reason. Maybe I'll see if my OLD flash cart works. _________________

Anyone else feeling anxiety over playing Mother 3 for the first time? Like what if it isn't completely brilliant?
Today I got to hear the latest album of a band I really like(Dillinger Four) who haven't released anything in like 5 years and it realy let me down.
Just kidding guys this game is going to be incredible. _________________ 3DS Friendcode: 2337-3480-4823

I see MOTHER 3 as being an example of the jRPG done right: strong story and solid mechanics woven together just right. I'd call it the best jRPG I've ever played but it's not like that says much for it.
Anyway, uhhhh, it's a really good game. I hope your expectations are met - mine were! _________________

Yeah I felt that way before playing Super Mario Galaxy and Metal Gear Solid 4. SMG turned out pretty underwhelming after the initial rush. I thought MGS4 was pretty satisfying though!
