Nah, it was just one of many mediocre 90's sci-fi OVAs, but it retains a lot of appeal due to the interesting setting, high production values, and aforementioned Shirow designs. They even give a convincing reason for the overwhelmingly yellow palette: it's artificial sunlight, since it takes place in a moon colony on the dark side. |

| Nitpicking, but the second Ghost movie's title is simply Innocence, further distancing it from SAC and the rest of the series (it's really Batou's story, rather than Makoto's, anyway.) They slapped the GitS name on it outside Japan so some people would actually care about it. |
