The events aren't random though, their are always specific triggers. Lots of mecha games seem to do this; as in when you doing well changing the gameplay path to one of sheer adversity. Armored Core does it all the fucking time.
Silent Line has a few mission which cap you in the balls just when you think you're doing well. Naturally, a lot of the juicier parts are unlocked that way. _________________

Dude I am totally gonna make an AC named Gato in Silent Line.
Anyway, yeah, that's a kinda common thing in mecha games. When you're doing some totally newtype shit, they always start throwing like, extra AC battles, or Gundam Alexes and shit when you're in a gouf. |

The heater is messed up. When it gets wicked cold outside (New England weather ;_;) the temperature plummets, as the hot water heater uses up what was inside of it and absolutely refuses to replenish itself. Basically, after each shower or dishwashing or whatever, we have to fill it manually--not too annoying at times, but the truly cold days have had us doing it at least 10 times in a day and still freezing our asses off. Before we had a recent "warm" spell (i.e. your eyelid liquid didn't freeze when you left the house) the skin on man hands was starting to die off. And when it gets really cold, you hand starts to form a kind of claw if it stays that cold for a while; the way the PS2 controller fits into my hand makes playing games weird/impossible at times.
I wrapped about half my windows in plastic wrap, which seemed to help a bit, and it's been warming up a bit lately, so hopefully this won't be as much of an issue. I could probably fix the heater myself (there's a switch that measures pressure I could probably experiment with), but if I touch it, then the landlords could say I broke it, and I don't really need that shit. |
