6 Days a Sacrifice is now out. It won't make sense unless you've played the other three games in the series (5 Days a Stranger, 7 Days a Skeptic, Trilby's Notes).

It juggles with a lot of ideas, too many ideas even. Some are excellent (The fifth day being perhaps the best part), some are mediocre, some are just poor. A lot of the developments feel forced, and it's mostly a narrative experience, rather than an adventure. It's not even that scary, serving just as exhibition for completists. Not as good as Trilby's Notes, but check it out if you want to see what happens to some of the key characters in the previous games, and a further look into the mythos Yahtzee tries to create. The ending makes more sense if you come to realise that Trilby is just as much a pawn as everyone else, and the real central character is John DeFoe.

Do give the three IF pieces he wrote beforehand. I suggest opening them with Windows Frotz, rather than the suggested interpreter.

I mean trying to tie all the games together probably wasn't the best of ideas, and that Trilby's Notes is his best, followed by 5 Days a Stranger.

To his credit, though, the twist he gives to the mythos at the end is genuinely clever.

7 Days is pretty cool, but I'd suggest just playing Trilby's Notes because it's the best in the series anyway.

BioShock is a bloated piece of shit and you shouldn't be playing it at all.

They should have stopped with the first System Shock and remade the first two Thief games instead.
