I like the original more, too. The music is the only thing the 2nd game has that is overall improved(Though nothing in SoR2 touches the original intro and ending music to me).

But something about the simplicity is just nice. I never liked the shitty characters in 2 and something about 2 just feels comical compared to the first one. Everything is so subdued and most of the enemies are thugs and maybe the occasional big looking thug and in the second one its like "Well now I guess we got these crazy juggling clown dudes.. *uses rollerblading kid to beat up men twice his size*"

Whew I just got to the last floor in the main quest of Shiren and had no idea what was in the room. So I got confused, frozen and then riceballed and when I tried to throw meat at the boss of the game i did it diagonally and it missed his 2x size sprite. Basically I had spent like 4 hours grinding the first 12 floors up and down over and over to get some good items with resistances and bonuses to all the tough shit and I finally felt like "ok this is it I will finally beat this and be able to get out of this hellish main quest and play Fays duengon." But no. I feel so robbed. At least the last few areas looked pretty awesome even if I was somewhat nervous and rushing through them.

I feel confident I will pick it up again and finish it soon but I wish it didn't come at a time when im moving, cuz I wont have a whole lot of time to put into it for a little while.

I played Contra 4 today. It was 20 bucks and so far ive restarted from the beginning about 10 times and got to the end of level 2.

I dunno but this game just doesnt seem to suit the DS very well and the vertical screen mechanic is actually pretty disorienting for my puny brain. I really hate that its on the DS actually.
