I wish I got that Teddie plush now. ;_; |
Seriously Ted gets all the best lines in the game, hands down.

I'm dating Chie now. I like how they actually gave me a choice to ask her out instead of just tossing an intimate relationship at me once I hit a high enough S. Link rank. |

| Also a hugely classy touch that some events will allow you to spend time with multiple characters (even ones outside your party) so it doesn't feel like all your relationships are in a vacuum. |

The best level up shout-out is undoubtedly:
"I've climbed the stairway to maturity!"
And I smile every time Teddie gets to start a group attack or does a follow-up and says "Just say the word, and it's BEEAAR TIIIME" |

I haven't looked it up but I could swear her voice actor is from the cast of Rugrats. She sounds like Lil.

| This game is a hell of a lot shorter, I think. I remember being at about 100 hours when I finished P3 and I'm probably going to top out at 75 when I finish this. |

Can you use a save file from the original for a new game + in FES? |
Nothing gets carried over, I believe. You're pretty much jacked. :/ |
Negative - new game plus carries over into FES, just not 'The Answer', which is in its own little pocket universe.
I'm at the last boss in FES coincidentally but I need to do some level grinding and I don't feel like it :( |

According to the one (and still somehow only) walkthrough on GameFAQs:
Unlike Persona 3's New Game Plus ,Persona 4 's new game plus is like starting the game from scratch.
Things Carried over
The Previous Play Time.
The Amount of Yen you have.
The Persona Compendium List.
The amount of persona slots.
The key items from Max Commu Events.
The Status Parameters. [Which I think means your Courage etc]
Things that doesn't get transferred.
Character LV
The Personas you have at the end.
The equipments you have.
The items you have.

Could you imagine the next day when Nanako, Dojima, and the main character are having dinner and then Nanako is like, "Dad, big bro is so funny! Every time he takes a girl upstairs, he comes out a few hours later and their hair and clothes are all messed up! Haha!"
And then Dojima laughs and tells Nanako that's nice but then he looks at the main character from the corner of his eye and gives that police "we're gonna hear all about this at the station" stare and then dinner gets real quiet and awkward. |

megido seems to take care of things in two turns that i could've done in one turn with the right element, which is perfectly fair. |

And I haven't encountered and hama/mudo enemies in a while. |

oh fuck heaven boss fuck. you. three straight days of grinding til everyone's sp ran out, fused a bunch of new personas, spent all my money on balm of lifes and macca leaves and i still can't beat you.
it might be a different story if i could get yukiko from s-link 9 to 10 and eliminate her ice weakness but nooooo all anyone wants to do these days is go to tv world so i'm screwed. fuck this. |
Are you buffing and debuffing? Debilitate on the boss and party buffs on you will make all the bosses super easy. |
I got through that boss like this, at around level 65:
Me (equipped with a persona that has makarakarn and a persona with no elemental weaknesses as an alt)
Naoto (physical attacks hurt this boss pretty bad and has no elemental weaknesses)
Chie
Yukiko
(those two can probably be subbed out)
Essentially I'd just cast makarakarn on the teen girl squad (yukiko and chie especially) I brought along with me and focused on healing with items/hammering the boss with physical attacks that had been boosted with buffs.
Whenever the boss does that quad move that 'changes the atmosphere' he doesn't gain an elemental resistance to whatever he boosted, and he'd invariably choose fire or ice so he could take advantage of chie or yukiko's weakness.
So whenever he attacked one of them or the party, he'd get one or more of his (rather insanely) boosted magic attacks reflected at him and wind up wrecking himself. after that, whichever character got hit would guard until the atmosphere went back to normal and i'd switch personas and recast makarakarn. |

| The Harvest Moon/Rune Factory games could probably stand to learn a few lessons from how P4 handles relationships between characters and each other/the player. One of those with character interaction like P4's would be a really nice game. |

| If dating sims handled your relationships with characters the way P4 does they'd be be a lot more worthwhile, and I say this as a guy who has played (and enjoyed) a few of those. |

It's my dream that Persona 5 will be something like this. Some j-pop version of Uncharted or Mass Effect with a dash of that old NES Friday the 13th game.
A bunch of kids trying desperately to keep a demon invasion at bay/under wraps in their home town. |

| The strategy for that fight, I found, was to constantly cast the debuff spell on the main guy, so they would all waste turns rebuffing him, and just keep pounding away at the big guy until he goes down. |

| I don't remember because it was a long time ago but I could have sworn I managed to lock the AI into a pattern of completely ineffectual mutual buffing - like they never managed to do much else for the most part, and the fight was a breeze as a result. |
