Is this game worth purchasing for someone that

1. Will never beat it

2. Has a very low tolerance for lolanime

3. Has essentially written off JRPGs

BUT is nonetheless

4. Very appreciative of the attractive, uniform aesthetic

5. Is known to occasionally (though not always!) enjoy deep, esoteric systemic gameplay

I'm learning that the best option is simply to stock up on goho-m's (lol pun name) and warp and save after every floor if your situation is precarious. If you do this you're essentially living on free time and you can run around dungeon crawling to your heart's content untill all your party members are completely out of SP and/or you don't feel like paying the fox anymore. Spending a day in the dungeon is unique in that your time there is controllable and theoretically infinite.

I think that is seriously to the game's detriment. It should be a choice and it should affect things. Also seriously they should get mad and enrage in battles fuck that's it I am making a video game.

I'm not saying that once you pick a girlfriend you should have to shut off interaction with the other girls. You could and should still be able to max their slinks and spend as much time doing random shit with them as you want. It should just lock you out from taking it in that direction (unless you DUMP the other girl and then she starts CRYING in battle sometimes YEAH)
