We all talk and talk and talk about the Silent Hill games, and at least a couple of those are really, really great, but none of them pack the sheer visceral punch that RE4 does. In no other videogame do you see a potato sack-headed motherfucker run at you screaming and chainsaw your head off, then drop your jaw and babble about how fucking awesome that was — and probably burst into a fit of laughter because of it.

A friend of mine told me that he actually couldn't continue playing beyond a point because he was terrified of being attacked from behind.
