I would really have something to say about this right now, but all I can muster is we occupy such a profoundly sad time in American history, in which such proficient and valuable degrees are becoming marginalized beyond recognition. And yet competitive scientific/math based degrees fastidiously become worthless as foreign intervention provides U.S. Corporations with greater research at a smaller cost. I fail to see how this "plan" conceives of any fiscal or social assets that we don't already have.

I agree, costel. I think that that's a meatier debate than the usual "lol luxury funtime degrees" lines that get thrown around. It becomes a cross-disciplinary pissing contest that just covers everyone in piss.
