I knew this also, but seeing it again made me think that the whole angst over buying and selling of used games on a publisher level is complete bullshit. If selling your product used is the only way anyone else can make money off of it you're probably not running on the most effective business model in the first place.
Also: Would anyone be offended if games implemented an official release day (Tuesday) like movies and music do?

Most games do have a release date of Tues already. |
The 2/5 and 2/6 shipping dates on the EBGames.com coming soon section would disagree with you. So would the fact that 95% of all games aren't street dated and stores can sell them whenever they get them - something that isn't true of CDs and DVDs.
