The good thing about not buying shit on Steam is that if it doesn't work, you can sell it to another chump instead.

I played the demo, yeah. It's... a pretty boring game. It seems to be made for two players, but even then I don't see it as being interesting at all.

I'm pretty sure you could grab a Mac sourceport (I don't know of any, sorry) and use a PC wad file with it.

Guys I'm so happy so many people have started to play Marathon. Maybe I can stop bringing it up every five minutes now!

I was looking for something like that awhile ago. All I found were these two:

How can I make the Quake expansion packs (and large mods/etc.) work with my source port of choice? I keep getting whacked out errors.

Yeah, there's a sleeping animation. They don't, like, pull the covers over themselves, if that's what you're asking.

They don't sleep in Morrowind, though. Just stand around.

Also, I heard the PC Gears port was pretty terrible.

eh, they're ok. there are better games out there if you want to kill hordes of shit.. they recently released THESUS THE HERO or something like that as freeware, which is an alien shooter spinoff (it has the same basic gameplay and design).

We're getting burned out on Tetris and Pac Man VS.

Clubhouse Games has this feature. It's actually has a pretty great selection, the only flaw being that you have to unlock some games by playing STAMP MODE. BALANCE and SODA SHAKE are pretty great party games, plus there is darts and bowling. I think it only supports up to four players locally though? I'm not sure how that works, I only tried it with one other person. Oh, it's also cheap!

If I got to someones house to use their internet connection and download a heap of STEAM games, when I get back home can I move the offline files over the network to my desktop computer and save me having to download the files again onto that computer?

Yeah, I did a little bit about various digitally distributed games, and Bionic Commando was on there. I already had the 360 version and didn't want to get the PC version just for screenshots, but then I decided I should probably check it isn't a shitty port (so i pirated it).

Also, give me the straight dope: Is Metroid Prime 3 worth playing? For reference, the first Metroid Prime is one of my favorite games, and I lost interest in the second one after about two hours.

It's far better than the second, but not a patch on the first. It's like Metroid crossed with Halo and various other games. I had fun with it, but I didn't bother finishing it (I got stuck) so take that as you will.

I wouldn't really call Dreamfall an adventure game. It's more of an interactive movie. But more interactive than real interactive movies. There isn't really any puzzles or anything like that, just going from here to there talking to people and what not... I enjoyed it. Shame about the ending.

The writer assures us that "Dreamfall Chapters" is still coming, whatever that is, and he won't tell us what form it will be in. It might be finished off in a novella, for example, but he hopes it will be a game.

E0 is good and cheap, the PC version is also better than Saturn version and works on modern operating systems.

Where are you looking for D? It's cheap everywhere I've looked! I bought it for extremely cheap and then sold it for slightly more. To be honest, I wouldn't pay more than an extremely cheap price. The stuff that made it memorable is pretty insignificant these days for the most part, but it's a decent, short romp.

I still haven't played D2 because toups hasn't sent it to me yet >:(

I want to play their sound only games, too. And that one game that came with a condom.

Yes, it is. There are a few quirks with it (make sure you turn off the new graphics, turn on head bob and sway and stuff in the options. Oh and turn off autoaim) but it's a very loving and mostly accurate port.
