Yes, I recall reading something similar sounding. Of course that could've just been marketing speak, as "wide open world" and "sandbox" are big marketing buzz words these days.
Of course it's possible that the original plan was something along those lines, but the developers had to dial it down to reach a milestone or release date or something. From what I've read the game was just a beat-em-up that happened to have largish levels, and you could occasionally fish. _________________

How difficult is it to modify your Wii to play European imports? Since Nintendo has become extremely pissy about what they release in America in that past few years, I get the feeling that the only way I'm ever going to get to try Trace Memory or Disaster Report is if I import them.
I've honestly never modded a console before. Is the only solution one where it needs to be cracked open an installed with a mod chip ala the PS2? Or is there something you can launch via an SD card? _________________

Actually if you're looking for a better screen, the psp-3000 is tops. I've noticed almost no ghosting, even on games where it used to be horrible, like locco rocco and Dracula X Chronicles. I'm told it has a problem with scan lines, but I've been playing the Capcom arcade collection and Valkyrie Profile a little bit, and haven't noticed much.
On the other hand, if you do a ton of emulation, it's probably not for you, as they haven't quite cracked it yet. Not saying they won't, just not yet. _________________

What's the fan consensus on the music in Streets of Rage 3? I'm playing it for the first time on the 360 collection. It's just so... bizarre. Some songs (like the nightclub theme) are totally dancable. Others are beyond grating. I can't make up my mind about it.
I'm curious how other people found it. _________________

This is probably an incredibly stupid question (so feel free to laugh at me), but does having HD cables (progressive scan) hooked up for my PS2 make normal games look any better? _________________

Somewhat older post, but I'll chime in anyway...
Using "HD" cables most certainly does make "normal" PS2 games look better. |
That's kind of more what I was asking originally. Of course progressive scan games look better in progressive scan. I was just wondering if it was worth taking up that input entry for my PS2 if I wasn't specifically be going to be playing that many more games that list "progressive scan" on the back of the box (Valkyre Profile 2 is the only one I think I'll be getting into). _________________

Yeah. I'm curious as well, but have yet to find anyone who has utilized it. _________________
