fill a lane with five of the same symbol. you don't want to let the 'puck' on the right side of the screen touch the bottom. if you fill all the lanes with at least 5, it goes into 'drive' mode where the background and music get trippy and starts to speed up eventually. ambulances/police cars/whatever they are will push the traffic you've piled up onto the right side, thereby shooting up the puck. go for the highest height you can.
