Just create a sub-forum and come up with 52 different game companies, then rotate each company in said sub-forum over the entire year. One week could be Ubisoft, the next Konami, the next something else, and so on down the line.
Every week could be "Fucking _____ Week"!
Plus at the end of the year if anyone wanted they could go count all the topics posted per each week and do a rough demography of where SB's general taste in videogames lies. |
I don't think that this would be as successful as a single "Fucking ______ Week!" because when it's a singular event, there's far more motivation to do something special and actually post. If each week was a different company, more often than not I think that the subforum would be nearly-empty, and the quality of the topics would be significantly lower. That's the whole point of FKW - it's a concentrated burst of enthusiasm. _________________

I actually think that Fucking Gameboy Week would be pretty neat. There are lots of cool obscure Gameboy games out there, and I really enjoy the original GB aesthetic. _________________
