i've been telling people this since february

now more of my friends are importing the US version and understanding my froth

I have talked about this on IRC a couple of times, but: I played the game through back in February and have been meaning to come back to it. However: I only scratched the surface first time round. I did little tendency work, played a pretty average royal with a sword and did a bit of powerlevelling to get through the later bits.

I'm going to come back to the game over the holidays - any advice on the best/most interesting character builds and setups? Having been out of action, should I start over or NG+? I do like feeling smug with a 'broken' weapon or whatever in my RPGS, so....!

is blacksmith ed always in 2-1 or do you have to do something to make him appear? i forget :(

So I'm most of the way through this run: I've put about 30 into str/dex, 18/18 mag/faith so I have rudimentary magic/miracles with the talisman of beasts and its working out well so far. Where would you put your points after this? I've pretty much ignored vit and end so I get one-shotted now and again but I recall that being the case often with my first character where I was less focused as far as build goes.

About to finish the first cycle on my second character - after pumping str/dex and getting end to 40 meat cleaver feels brutal. Grinding for materials seems harsh even with pbwt & sword of searching.

I'm ~91 at the moment, asian version though. If that's possible, that'd be awesome.

I just found a decent way to farm ephemeral eyes - killing urbain makes the black phantom guarding him (always drops ephemeral eyes) respawn every time you go into 4-2. So I'm farming the shit out of him before I do Allant.

Yeah, i did: "before i do allant" - i killed him right before the end of the first cycle so i could get tons of stones before ng+. I rescued him right away, but the bp respawns for some reason if he's ever killed later

PVP is way too laggy for me, UK to Japanese players. :(

My low (starting) VIT build does me no favours either, one laggy random backstab and I'm done.

The classes are meaningless after the first few hours - everyone can do everything. Put some points into Magic/Faith if you want those - you also need a catalyst & talisman

Seriously having trouble with NG+ on my build with the royals starting VIT. Considering trying to break through 4-x to farm and build it up.

Any examples of good mage builds? My previous play was a dex+cleaver; looking to try the opposite extreme.
