|
|
Hey you Americans! Listen up. I have here a cheap delicious meal.
Go get a box of Louisiana Purchase Black Beans and Rice. It will cost you a dollar.
Get a can of Diced Tomatos. This should also cost you a dollar.
Get some Garlic because you aren't a fucking pussy, or if you have one you don't let that stop you. I have no fucking clue how much Garlic is in any country.
Chop up a clove of garlic. Get a saucepan and oil/butter it as desired (I recommend some EVOO because I still hella have a thing for Rachel Ray.) Dump in those Diced Tomatos. Let them get all hot and boiling. Open up the Black Beans box and take out the spice packet. Dump those fucking Black Beans in there. Add that spice and that garlic. Stir it around. Put the heat to simmering and walk the fuck away.
Come back in 20 minutes or so. I don't know take a shower.
Stir it. Eat it. Store it.
The problem with the LP Black Beans is they get an utterly bizarre taste if you reheat them. I just dicovered that if you subsitiute Tomatos for water is that it tastes just as delicious a day later.
Alternately: Kimchee, Udon, and Tofu in boiling water for 20 minutes. |

Defrost a piece of flat iron steak, raw
Slice it thin
Put a pan on medium heat
Throw on the thin sliced raw steak, add spices and salsa verde
Cook until tender, maybe a little pink. It's likely done by the time the steak looks cooked on the outside, because it is after all sliced thin
Add some green chilis or onions or w/e to the mix if you want
Remove from heat
Heat up some soft taco tortillas
Throw the meat on your tortilla and put some sour cream on top of that along with some fresh cillantro. Must be fresh ya'll.
Some pico de gallo can go good on this if you want some on there.
Anyway, the meat should last you forever. Tortillas are cheap, as is the sauce and cillantro. Cheap ass meal, fucking delicious, really quick and easy to prepare. |

Man rud13 that is super cheap. I have to question its nutritional value however.
Help I am living with a raw fooder! _________________

Add more Garlic.
If it's not healthy enough then, ADD MORE GARLIC.
Also you can throw some cheese on top if you are able to get delicious super market cheese.
The problem with your recipe Zeb is that it requires more than one stove top so I can't do it :( |

She is vegan, on a detox, raw fooding, has thrush and her period and her best mate is being a pussy and cancelled on her valentines fun.
I think leaving her very much the fuck alone is a better idea.

Nay it does not, my friend!
_Ideally_ you'd toast the tortillas over a range I know, but it's fine if you just zap them in a microwave for 30 seconds. |

Oh god is England losing the food war? :(
Edit: Well Rudie I guess you could heat up the tortillas on the same range you used to cook the meat. It doesn't take long and the meat will stay hot. |

Get some fresh vegetables. Doesn't really matter what kind so long as we're not talking like beans or leafy greens.
Chop them up to about bite-size and dump them in a bowl.
Pour some olive oil over them, toss them a bit so they all get coated.
Dump them on a baking sheet (foil for easy cleanup), sprinkle salt liberally, put it in the oven to broil at 450 (Fahrenheit) for 15-20 minutes. They should come out just a little bit blackened on the outsides.
Eat some fucking delicious vegetables. |

Get yourself some brussels sprouts.
Cut 'em in half, or quarters if they're big.
Bring a pot of water to a rolling boil, then blanch the sprouts for about a minute.
Drain.
Put the sprouts on a cookie sheet, drizzle with some olive oil and shake on some black pepper.
Roast for 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
Done.
The blanching should remove the bitter taste from the sprouts, the olive oil and the pepper will give them a little kick and they work pretty well as a side for just about anything. If they get a little sulfur-y, try roasting them for a shorter amount of time. |

Just cooked some onions, paprika, chicken. Added some spinach and put the whole thing over rice. I didn't spice enough so it's pretty bland.
But the garlic is there in full bloom.
My recipe was cook garlic and onions in Garlic Olive Oil (yessss) add chicken cook chicken, add paprika and spinach. Cook down. heat up some rice in the microwave (seriously I don't know if you can find these in Western Supermarkets but I know I could get them at Asian Import shops. It's these little microwavable packets of sticky rice. Taste pretty good and quick to get ready. I think it was like $5 for a 3 pack at the import shop?)
EDIT: I'm pretty sure the spinach fucked it up. All being 90% water and shit. |

Don't overcook the spinach? or was it that tinned garbage?
I also believe microwaves are the devil. _________________
