I happened to come across a roguelike I hadn't seen before, today. Written in Java, 3D-accelerated, blah-blah-blah. What really made me blink and take notice was the the description and the screenshots, which are both quite prominent on the game's home-page.
Although it does work nicely on my Mac, like most roguelikes it hates my Dvorak keyboard, so I haven't gotten very far yet.
What do you think?

Wow, and I thought Nethack's sense of humor was intensely grating. Tell me, is it really as bad as the wiki entry makes it sound?

It seems we are from different worlds, you and I. I'm a sucker for Xanth/Kingdom of Loathing/Erfworld style pun-laden meme-infected self-aware-ironic fantasy worlds, and thus found the humour quite appealing. |
