So, someone from here AIM'd me this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eq7MtnSJCgY&mode=related&search=
We marveled at the lack of floating candles, and the utter non-existence of 8- bit life bars. We were through the looking glass and beyond IGA. She has a wall kick, drop kick and a bionic commando swing. Her hair is very pretty. It is a platformer and old school like Jam Master Jay except less metaphysically challenged.
So, the question is: is Kim Possible: What's The Switch a fun game?

I was that someone. And stop stealing my thread ideas! (granted, I swiped this one off GAF)

It sure looks like one! It's was apparently developed by A2M, the same guys who did that faux Zelda version of Monster House on the GBA.
I haven't seen such competent looking kid's games since Capcom's NES days.
Makes me wonder whether little Bobby is going to be posting on Neo Gaf EX in ten years, fondly recalling the music in Chicken Little's moon level.

I think he means the site requires a login to view said article.
Isn't this the GBA though? If the article is actually true, then between this, Urban Yeti and that Masaya Matsuura Tamagotchi game, I wonder how many hidden gems are truly sprinkled amongst the vast sea of "you THINK would be crappy" bargain bins of Toys R Us. |

Calling them hidden gems is probably a stretch, but I guess 2d fans should take whatever they can get.
God only knows this isn't the first time we've tried to look past less than stellar graphic design for the sake of gameplay.

There's a demo of this at Wal-Mart. I've thought of playing it before but never have. It certainly looks fun though. _________________

The slow fading in and out to highlight new enemies seems like it would get too annoying for me to actually play this, but it looks like a fun game. _________________

James, what's the all of sudden obsession with Kim Possible? Not that I'm complaining...
When you write for Nick Mag, you get to go to these press events where there's all kinds of games to play, but sometimes the PR folks in charge naturally assume that you don't want to play Tekken 9: Nina Gang-Bang Edition, so they send you to the room and only let you play crappy kiddie licensed games. Anyway, I played this game a whiles back, and even at an early stage, you could tell that developers were really trying. But I also got the sense that certain parts were dumbed down because they assumed kids would find it too hard. Its bit tricky to explain... since its been a while, among other things. Anyway, it was at least light years better than the fucking Little Mermaid DS game or the 18 other DS games based on contemporary Disney cartoons. _________________

My friend's cousin voices Kim Possible. She also voices Yuffie in Kingdom Hearts. _________________ "Say, that's a nice fez!"

I just discovered that the girl who played Dottie in Pee Wee's Big Adventure does the voice of Chucky from Rugrats, and a bunch of other stuff. Also has some pop singing career and dates various Hollywood guys and other stuff. _________________

Huh. That reminds me of World of Illusion staring Mickey and Donald! Absolutely gorgeous graphics (it's a Mega Drive game that looks far better than 80% of SNES stuff), tons of imagination, easy as hell. Man I think I'm going to emulate on that later.
I'm obsessed with Kim Possible because of her pretty, pretty hair. |

Yeah, they had to hold back on things like collision detection and responsive controls . . . for the kids. |

That's cool. I'm pretty obsessed with the Esurance girl at the moment myself.
And as for my all time fave Disney game on the Mega Drive/Genesis, and there were a whole bunch, I'd have to say Quakshot. Or Mickey Mania, which I liked better on the Genny than the SNES just because I was such a big Sega fanboy at the time.
Man... the Genesis did have a lot of great Disney games at the time didn't it? Aladdin, World of Illusion, and a few others I believe. _________________

Why is her hair black? In the show it is red. _________________

That's because the guy who made the video isn't using Kim as his player character, but black-haired Shego instead. |
