I can't believe it - one of those cute Tumblr artist people not only has the means to turn their work into a videogame, but has the funds too??

Cortex Command is now on steam and if you bought the humble bundle 2, you can get a steam code from your link page.

I mentioned this in the "Games you played today" thread, but the demo of Gorogoa is out. It looks like this:

Is that really the first time that that Ponycorns been linked here? Apparently it is.

...

This is good if you liked the third stage of Contra 3 but thought it had too much tricky platforming.

Soeur de Barrage - a very rare mouse-controlled shmup. Amazingly, it actually uses your mouse mobility in interesting ways - the emphasis on bullets is (after the first level) replaced with single large objects. It's really quite refreshing - it feels like a refinement of bullet hell, rather than a weird offshoot.

Once you have the upgrades, you should try moving not just left and right, and not even up, but...

Down.

What's in the Box is pretty simple, somewhat unique idea for a puzzle game that's really well executed.

Effective, though I found it frustrating a couple times. Is there another ending other than the one I got and that all the youtube videos are showing? (You know, with the empty black hallway and the chair.) It feels like if I do something clever, I could find something else out, but I'm not that clever and the design is fairly opaque.
