I really like the look of Flotilla. It doesn't seem like there are that many simultaneous turn-based combat games these days. I remember playing an old Maxis one called RoboSport when I was a kid, and that was pretty cool. _________________

Yeah, I dunno. It's by Macintosh shareware teen duo Foxchange Software, and continues their hallowed tradition of making 90% of the sound effects with their mouths. |

This game is really great. You move around letters in a physics based environment - spell out a word, you complete the level. But each level has a 'perfect' word that goes with the prose in the background. Later levels will require you to perform some real balancing acts in order to string the letters together.
Check it. |

Balloon in a Wasteland is a short Flash game that I thought was pretty decent.

Pretty sure it's just a photograph.
The game is fun and the idea of balancing your time is interesting except it's too easy for you ever to need to actually balance your time. _________________ Let's Play, starring me. |

Max and the Magic Marker = Crayon Physics + Platforming for Wiiware, PC, and Mac
that link goes to a free online demo, which has just convinced me to get the Wii version!
This game has also convinced me that the Unity Engine is SERIOUS BUSINESS (the whole thing was developed in Unity), and I need to get off my ass and start playing with it, especially since I'm quite displeased with AS3. |

I just played 5days a stranger and 7days etc the last few days, what other indie adventure games are there (played machinarium)?
More interested in serious stuff than comedic shit, cyberpunk would be a plus! |

If sci-fi is what you're looking for, Reactor 09 isn't half-bad at all, and does some interesting things when it comes to consequences of your actions and dialogue and how it reflects upon the person you're trying to get to trust you.
Beneath a Steel Sky is free now, as well.
And for all it's ill-judged anime aesthetic, The White Chamber might be worth a look too. It's basically Event Horizon: The Game. _________________

| I've played most of the good/big commercial adventure games, but the shivah and reator 09 both look pretty neat - the stuff about reactor 09 sounds interesting, Draco . I downloaded I have no mouth and i must scream, hoping to play it on Scumm DS but apparently it is not supported. Gonna get round to setting up dosbox sometime. |

Yay, pretty new screenshots.
Spelunky is especially exciting to me because it's a totally-free PC game that's getting turned into a totally-not-free XBLA game, and it's pretty mindboggling that that's happening. Obviously it's primarily due to the fact that Derek Yu has done a great job of creating a huge community at TIGSource, which subsequently frothed over his game very loudly. _________________

| ehhhhh, those screenshots look like Derek Yu saw Braid and decided his game had damn well better look like that too if he wanted to be Critically Acclaimed. I'll stick with what we already have. |

I presume (hope) that you'll be able to switch back and forth between the painted graphics and the original graphics on the fly, like Monkey Island and the videos I've seen of Wii Mulana and Cave Story. _________________

Well, it's an XBL game, so it's going to have to be high res.
And high res sprites are hard.
So I'll cut him some slack.
Probably not going to buy a 360 for this game, but I will buy this game after I get a 360. You can do that when you got cash moneys. _________________ interdimensional |

I really, really dislike this trend of console ports of popular, intentionally lo-fi indie games getting ugly "modern" graphical makeovers. La-Mulana stands out in that regard -- it's like they totally missed the point. _________________
