OK, I apparently totally suck at finding the cool hidden gameplay in games with tons of cool hidden gameplay (like Frog Fractions, and this one). What am I supposed to do? _________________

Try moving quickly to the front of the stage. Repeat.
possibility space for any puzzle sequences were too small and there weren't any alternate solutions/secret endings that I could find :( _________________

there didn't need to be. The game is pretty perfect as is.
Then again, I'm not a huge fan of trial and error.
Rooms rendering different information/possibilities from different angles is pretty nice (although I haven't really many dungeon crawlers so I don't know what else does this in a meaningful matter). The ability to view any other square in the maze is also a cute touch that you could probably do something really interesting with in another game.
With Steam having an Indie Spring Sale, I'm wondering what is the good stuff worth picking that is part of this sale? There's so many games out there that I have no idea what's good or even the time to start shuffling through the thousands of titles on there. _________________

If I could only recommend one more game for the rest of my life, it would be Starseed Pilgrim
Imagine if Fez was all in 2D and had a super-addictive and original logic game as the main mechanic, rather than jumping and rotating. Then you basically have the flavour of it.
I forgot that I wanted to try this, until the other day when it appeared on Steam. I haven't made it very far yet (even after discovering at least some of what I'm supposed to be doing), but it sure is an interesting game.
Edit: One thing I can't figure out is what determines whether the game allows you to return to the beginning of the area to hit the arrow on the floor. At times, I'm far away but can run all the way back. Other times, I don't go far at all but when I drop down a relatively short distance, the screen doesn't scroll at all and I just die.
wourme, it has to do with how the camera works, specifically while falling/jumping. you should be able to suss it out anywhere with a little bit of experimentation, and there is a trick in the flip world that lets you override the normal behaviour.
while my contributions to that game were minimal, i still find it incredibly humbling when i see alerts for certain sb'ers playing it on steam. <3
Today I played the current WIP demo of Memory of a Broken Dimension, and it was amaaaaaazing. I could say things, but the less you know about it beforehand the better. Do you like glitchy, black and white computer shit with brilliant sound design? Do you like distorted, messy, confusing graphics as long as they are coupled with simple design goals? Do you like interactive experiences that drop you into a thing without explanation, requiring you to discover your objectives along with the nature of your world only through your own self-guided experimentation? Then try this.
