konami week or capcom week

there's been some discussion of doing fucking capcom week instead of konami week. I've just realized that pretty much every game I've played in the last few weeks have been capcom games. this might not be a bad idea!

alternatively we could do both!

vote here and I will consider the opinions of the masses!

there are some kids -- I don't want to say who -- planning on making a mockery of any FKW nonsense. A Goddamn Capcom week would fit fine and likely avoid any axe-time tomfoolery.

The whole point of FKW is to celebrate KONAMI and KONAMI only. To celebrate another company in the same week in which we've done FKWs before is to spit on tradition like some dirty Yankee. No, the solution to this problem is to designate OTHER weeks for other companies while leaving the special Valentines Day week for KONAMI ONLY.

AND YOU CAN SURE AS HELL BET THAT THERE WILL BE A FUCKING SEGA WEEK EVEN IF IT'S JUST ME POSTING SHIT. >:(

You don't have to play Konami games, you guys. Remember what we did for earlier years?

The Legos thing (the above image was photoshopped to be more wallpaper-y) or when I met Akari Uchida two years ago. You can play Konami games any day of the year, it's not like a forced observation of Black History month, but more of a birthday party/Mardi Gras kinda week.

Voted Konami because it's tradition, capami sounds dumb, and Fucking Capcom Week just doesn't sound right.

I voted Konami because I have this ridiculously obscure and dumb piece of MGS-related trivia that I have to get out of my system. It ties in directly with my record of the year 2006.

But I'd also vouch for having something Capcom-related at another time in the year. There's still so much that's to be said about Mega Man 2 and we haven't even managed to seriously tackle Mega Man 3, or maybe even Mega Man 6. ,_.

I voted for FCW, but that's because I thought Capami would be a week where we celebrated both, which just sounded crazy. I'd certainly be for celebrating them on two separate weeks.

As for FSW, I was initially opposed to this, because I fucking hate SEGA. However, I did just pick up the SEGA Genesis collection, so it'd be pretty sweet to cram those 28 games into one week. Does playing games that they didn't make but came out on their console count?

If we do Capcom, I liked the suggestion of Goddamn Capcom Week, or at least something different from FKW.

And I vote for FKW.

Maybe it'll be enough to make me complete MG2 or MGS3.
Or get anywhere decent in Winning Eleven 8.
Or actually play Gradius Collection (It makes my fingers hurt, guys. :()

YEAH! Let's have FKW!

(I'll be playing Chulip when I get it anyways, though. :))

Rare day is a good idea though. We should really do more sb game clubs (for older games), I always thought those were fun, playing through Rocket Knight FKW '06 was nice.
