Getting started:
This thread is going to go over how to A) acquire the game and B) play and enjoy the game with us. If you want to discuss how much you like this game, or non-SB play (e.g. single or pubbie multi) please post in this thread.
Demon's Souls is available to play in English with either the Asian or Korean versions of the game. Everything else is totally up to you - the game is not region locked, nor is the multiplayer. You can pick up the Japanese version and play with us on a European account if you like.
In the beginning, you're going to play single player a lot, so use a reference. This wiki is made by gamers who know what they're doing. I cannot stress how much more useful it is to use this than to die a lot. Even with the guide you're going to do a lot of learning on your own, so you might as well streamline it. Community is good for this game, ok?
How to play with us:
*Add our PSNs. We're using the PS3 chat function to post about Demon's Souls. It's pretty rad and pops up messages on the screen while you play. You need an invite before it shows up in your chatroom list, so get a hold someone playing and have them send you an invite.
If you're new, you should realize this game isn't multiplayer friendly. You have to relish your opportunities to play with others. I connected with Sketch once, and it was cool, but it ended way too quickly. To be a host you need to have your body (not be a ghost). And to be summoned by a host you need to be a ghost (be dead) and a blue soulstone. Place your soulstone down and someone that's alive will see it and hopefully summon you. This system kind of sucks, but the PS3 chatroom makes this a little better.

Has anyone used the new PS3 chatroom function? It looks like it stays up even after you log out, and you can join any of your friends' chatrooms whenever you want. _________________ interdimensional |

There are some goons at SA that use the PS3 text-only chatroom to set up games. I made one! So that means send me a message (psn anothergod) and I will invite you. I need more PSN friends, seriously.
I know not all of you have keyboards for your PS3s, but I do, so that means I'm going to use this as an option. Any USB keyboard should work, and I even got my Apple Wireless one to work. For a while. _________________ interdimensional |

Yeah, as soon as I friend all you guys I'll invite you to the Demon's Souls PS3 chatroom. Just log into the chatroom before you play and you'll see popup messages from from it during your games. Very useful. _________________ interdimensional |

I'm just C&Ping stuff I added to the OP:

Has anyone else had an easier time getting multi going? I've only played with someone (outside of Sketch) once. It was a one and go kind of thing. It makes sense bc he was playing with me to get a body, but... eh. _________________ interdimensional |

Central Standard Time here.
And yeah, games were super fun while they lasted.
I'm about to take care of a few things and then head back in to play some more. Hopefully you're there. Euro, right? _________________ interdimensional |

Dark Silver might work, but large shields work better generally (minus Adjucator). Even the Steel Shield from 2-1 works well vs. the Maneater. _________________ interdimensional |
