That can be said of every happy/romantic ending in any story, ever.
- The prince hallucinated that he was embracing the princess at the end of 'Prince of Persia', even though she was clearly already dead and he was in fact hugging her lifeless corpse.
- In Final Fantasy VIII, when you wait til after the credits and see Squall and Rinoa kiss, that's really just the crazy fantasy of two star-crossed kids with early-onset dementia that will forever ruin their chances at finding happiness.
- At the end of the movie 'Brazil' he fantasizes that he escapes and lives in the country, when actually he has just been tortured to insanity. |
Thanks, from now on i'll just pretend every ending i'm not satisfied with is like this, and it will be great. |
