Thank ya. All of my shots have been from that li'l guy -- though admittedly I love to touch things up in Adobe Lightroom. That's half the fun for me.

I lost about 35~40% of it during May/June. Stress shock, "telogen effluvium." Got to keep most of it, and the rest is growing back quickly. Freaked the hell out of me, though.

Still pretty high on the emoness, sorry to say.

Man, your pointing-camera-at-self shot reminds me of the one I took a couple moths ago:

I don't think that it's a particularly good shot, but at least the expression is pretty genuine.

Yes. If pretending to be viciously angry, I can look a lot like that. But psiga does that about as often as aphex does this.

Edit: Neat (to me). Much as I don't like the idea of Kirsten Dunst really getting into a song that I like, but I suppose it's not a thing.

My hair color has changed quite a bit over the past four years.

The honey brown at the top is from back when I lived in California, some regular brown for a while, and now it's turning sort-of platinum brown.

I don't remember seeing this guy before today. But my Art History class was only about a month long, and I was half asleep for most of it.

Despite striking the same sorts of poses, Stotelheim merely looks Swedish while 108 looks like a gaytarded Doctor Who.

I propose that we call him Dr But.

Oh, I think that you win by default. Natural Swede > whitey in japan. He's got that Kentucky Fried Gaytard look, except that he's too healthy to fry shit so it's more like a Kentucky Baked Gaytard look.

If he beats you on anything, it's in being able to afford a custom tailored jacket -- even though I still rather staunchly believe that the jacket is two decades past fashionable and the tailor does not know how to make jacket for whitey. It's like, "Maybe if I just bullshit whitey and tell him that it is perfect for his punk rock soul, he will pay me instead of yell at me for making something like this. It is truly one of my lesser works -- though I suppose he is a fitting person to have it. Nobody will notice. Nobody I care about, anyway."

Oh, wait, now that I think about it, he also beats you in variety of settings, and quality of camera. But that is more of a nod to Japan itself.

I am told that the above post came off as being mean-spirited.

I would like to add that Tim looks like a 50 year old lesbian woman stuck in a boy's body.

Style versus fashion. Also, just generally trying to not look like a total knob. It's one thing to look eccentric (old E3 2k5 shot), and another to be like "OH YEAH I AM TOTALLY IN THIS JAPANESE BATHROOM MAKING FACES AT MY WHITE SELF."

Then again, a certain population of this forum is sincerely interested in that as a lifestyle choice. Who am I to say that's wrong?

I have witnessed Newave make his Newave face in person! It reminds me of the Paris face. It's kind-of hilarious to me to see him change it like five whole percent and call that a new and different face.

Okay, okay, fine. Just another shot of a geek in a bathroom.

And that's not my gun. And it's an airsoft anyway.

I kinda hate it when the camera shows a COMPLETELY different expression than what I intended. That's me thinking that I'm neutral with maybe a bit of that Mona Lisa smile. Instead it looks like I'm glockin' (strayerin'?) somebody.

Flatteringly smooth photo, Tim. You're also looking more down-to-earth than usual, and it goes well with the jacket.

Hm. I'm thinking of turning this into my avatar:

by "more down to earth" do you mean i'm not making a purposely retarded facial expression?

Yes, basically. When you're acting intentionally retarded, it doesn't come off as genuine. As if to say, that jacket needs to be worn by a man showing some genuine soul. Even if it's that expression there.

Which ain't to say be that forever or anything. Just seems, in my experience, you don't really need to wear a mask if what you're aiming to do is express yourself.

Thank you! My lips seem to be made for that look. All of us with big girly lips should have Stotelheim bring some of that Swedish moisturizing balm he mentioned to America. It costs $16 to buy from import shops, and he says it's like $2 to buy from Sweden. O_o

Mr. Apol: Those shots make all of you look like you're in a movie. It's really fantastic how much of a vibe is captured in them.

I figured the shots were from one of the Alabama camera people friends peoples. Like the lass that Apol mentions every so often. Deliberate, but still capturing believable character.

And yeah, the little plastic star clip does add more than I woulda thought.

Jesus and Jack Sparrow had a lovechild.

Apparently he likes music and resents the sun.

Moving house, basically across the street. That was from a few hours ago. Now I am about to go take a long shower and wash my fuckin' hair.

(Bonus: You can see how my hair color has changed since moving from O.C. to Vegas.)

Oh god. You probably don't want to know anyway. I mostly stopped buying CDs around 2000, arr, so it's all older stuff from when I was mid teens and younger.

And no, I'm not that tall, but it's interesting how many people think of me and remember me as being tall. My uncle, probably the most extreme example, keeps remembering me as being taller than his 6'2 son, though I'm only 5'10 and some change.

I presume that most people just see me as 5'10, but it really is kinda neat that I give off a "tall look."

Maybe it's just my imagination, but I stopped growing at 16, around the time I had a crush on a girl who was 5'2 and I didn't want to be too tall. So either I naturally stopped growing at an unusually young age, or I Jedi mind-tricked myself into stopping. Either way, I had otherwise expected to be very tall.

I'm 6'4 in my mind, yo.

God, I can't pass up a chance to be ironic. :( There's no big list of everything, but here're some things off the top of my head:

Things that I can generally speak of with dignity:
    Trans-Siberian Orchestra
    Juno Reactor
    Hilary Hahn
    Paul Simon
    Live
    Xenogears: Creid
    Trigun: The First Donuts

Things that net me some flack:
    Matchbox 20
    Sarah McLachlan
    Savage Garden
Message in a Bottle soundtrack (didn't see the movie)
Pokémon: The First Movie soundtrack (has nothing from the movie)
    Pure Moods I & II
    A Goofy Movie soundtrack

Things that are odd but generally neutral:
Mortal Kombat: Annihilation soundtrack (didn't see the movie)
Sonic Boom (U.S. soundtrack to Sonic CD)
    various CDs with Celtic bagpipes
    Kila (fuckin' weirdos)
    Mechwarrior 2 soundtrack
45 track CD of misc audio from Ranma 1/2
double disc sets of Club Mix '97 through '99
    Symphony & Metallica

Bask in the pre-Millennial glow of it all.
