i've been playing picross ds. it's clearly aimed at a more casual audience, but for its lack of mario it's still pretty charming. the easy stages look like the inside of an ipod, but the normal stages all have their own unique graphics and sounds. and the pictures are animated. and colored in, like guru logic champ. the dpad and stylus control works well for me.
